Beach Studio

This backyard gable roof shed was a simple, inexpensive transformation.

After the old aspestos cladding was removed, we installed recycled sash windows and French doors. We then re-cladded in fibro to keep the retro beach look and replaced the old tin roof with Colorbond.

A small deck and pergola were added at the back for extra space.

Using a few smart, simple ideas the inside space was transformed into a comfortable studio for guests or kids. The gable roof space became sleeping quarters with a ladder for access. At ground level the living quarters were sheeted with plywood for a clean, contemporary look.
